Mtm Design Ability
MTM has a long history of designing innovative and high-quality products. Our engineers have created products that meet stringent technical and aesthetic requirements as dictated by our original automotive customers. We have also designed and manufactured a broad range of products for non-automotive customers. Our designs include gear shift controls, door operating devices, traffic detection systems and water recycling devices.
Some customers have a pre-designed product that they want developed, tooled and made in our production facilities. We have developed many such products including electric skateboards, RV accessories, public transportation sub-assemblies and isolation switches.
Our experience in designing for manufacturing and assembly ensures that the total cost of the product is minimised. Our design team is located with our manufacturing engineering team at the primary manufacturing site in Australia so our product development team is truly integrated with sharing of lessons learnt, FMEA and testing facilities.

Prototypes
We have in-house prototyping ability whereby we can model 3D printed models of you product design using additive or fused deposition modelling. These are great for gaining an interactive perspective of your product. If required, we can also provide SLS products that can be used in performance testing scenarios along with laser cut metal prototypes.
